The Ninevites is a multidisciplinary design studio and creative agency founded by South African designer Nkuli Mlangeni Berg in 2012.

We partner with craftspeople, designers, institutions, and global brands to cocreate projects that honour traditional knowledge, celebrate identity, and support sustainable creative economies.

We collaborate with both public and private sectors, partnering with artisans in the Karoo, Senegal, Japan, and Peru.

Our partners include Standard Bank Art Lab, Penguin Random House UK, Svenkt Tenn, Fields Menswear, Rand Merchant Investment, The French Institute, Trenery and the Nordic Culture Fund.
